One of the goals of the European Union is to stimulate and improve employment in Europe. One of the ways in which the EU wants to achieve this is through the European Social Fund (ESF), which invests in people’s opportunities on the labor market. For this reason the ESF set up the ‘sustainable employability’ subsidy, to ensure people’s health, productivity and durability. Organizations that have an advisory process carried out by an external adviser for the purpose of sustainable employment are qualified to apply.
How much benefit does ESF Sustainable Employability provide?
The subsidy amounts to 50% of the costs of an advisory process that is carried out by an external advisor, with a maximum amount of € 12,500. No funding will be awarded for costs below € 12,000 (excluding VAT). The amount of funding is determined on the basis of a final declaration, in which the actual costs incurred are included. A project may last up till a maximum of 12 months.
Eligible advisory processes need to meet one of the following themes:
- Business- or organization scan
- Periodic research of sustainable employment
- Healthy and safe employment
- Learning culture for employees
- Organizational adjustment of work
- Internal and external mobility
- Flexible working culture
- Working time management
An organization must demonstrate that it has at least two employees. In addition, it is important that employees are demonstrably involved in the project. The implementation of the project needs to be administered.
